The Uganda Museum is located in the capital city of Kampala, Uganda, and was founded in 1908. The museum houses a rich collection ranging from ancient fossils to modern-day everyday objects, making it one of the most important ways to understand the historical development of Uganda.

The collections in the museum include not only evidence of natural history evolution such as fossils of ancient organisms and human skulls, but also exhibits related to production and daily life, such as musical instruments, hunting tools, traditional clothing (including wooden sandals, bark cloth shirts, leather loincloths), ancient transportation tools, weapons, etc. These exhibits vividly showcase the historical development and evolution of Ugandan society, politics, and culture to visitors. Among these exhibits, musical instruments are particularly popular with tourists as they can play the exhibited instruments for free, experiencing Uganda’s ancient music culture.
