Daan Viljoen Game Reserve is located in the west of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, 18 kilometers from Windhoek. It is a game breeding conservation area and also the smallest park in Namibia. Daan Viljoen Game Reserve has been open to the public since 1962, with a wide variety of animals and over 200 different bird species attracted to the lakes in the park for nesting and breeding, making it an excellent bird-watching destination.
In the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, there are several winding paths for visitors to see different animals. Baboons are the most common animals in the park, and there are also many zebras, roaming and playing freely. Daan Viljoen Game Reserve is the best choice for campers and picnickers, offering a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city to spend the night with these lovely animals. At night, you can occasionally hear the calls of the baboons.
